My two biggest requests are for my HW Website or the Scholastic Books Online Ordering information.  You can find help for those below.

HW WEBSITE:

If you are a parent:  Please have your child/children check the HW Website (link is provided below) for the assignment and ask your child/children to show you his/her/their agenda.  Having seen the HW Website and the agenda, there are now two scenarios you may encounter:

1.  Both of them match; this is wonderful!  Please make sure the assignment is completed tonight.
 
2.  You utter, "Houston, we have a problem."  You have just experienced one of the following problems:  The agenda is missing, the HW assignment does not match or the HW assignment is not written in the agenda.  Do not panic!  Remain calm!  All you need to do is kindly persuade the child/children to read the message below.  You may want to remind the child/children that it is the student's responsibility to fill out the agenda every day regardless if there is no home work; complete and turn in all assignments on time; double check the HW Website on current assignments.  After all parents, you are not in my class!

If you are one of my students: You may be doing the responsible thing and checking to see if you completed the correct page(s) on tonight's homework.  I just want to say, "Nice Job!"  On the other hand, maybe your parent or guardian has asked to see your agenda and a slight problem occurred.  I know you copied the assignment from the homework board into your agenda, but the dog may have devoured your agenda while you were playing Blokus at http://www.blokus.com/ or updating your Shelfari account with more books at http://www.shelfari.com/!  For whatever reason, I am glad you are being responsible and checking on your HW!  Please keep reading.

We all know reading and writing work together, and most of you have me for both classes.  I know you consider yourself the lucky ones, and so do I!  For the few students who only have me for one of these classes, do not consider yourself unlucky!  You are lucky, because some students don't have me at all!  Shocking, I know!  Well, enough about me.  I know you want to know about the HW.

Many times, homework is to complete a lesson using www.StudyIsland.com

Also, you will be asked to complete writing assignments that are saved on your School Fusion account.  School Fusion is found on the BVMS homepage.  You should use the same password for both Study Island and School Fusion!  **If the password is too short to work on School Fusion, add 2011 to it!

AFTER LOGGING INTO SCHOOL FUSION, THE STUDENT GRADEBOOK IS LOCATED ON PARENT PORTAL!
